Sunday, June 13, 2010. From this viewpoint, it is apparent that light penetrates well through the design; all the way back to the rear courtyard, primarily via the open modular skylights. This is a study of the front facade on an exterior level. As can be seen the play of light sets the facade alight, in the evenings this building will look beautiful.

These next few posts will explore the urban spaces where Philadelphians danced where they performed for audiences, taught classes for adults and children and where they hosted their elaborate balls during their winter social seasons.

Celebrate twenty years of dance enthusiasm! Is a collegial gathering of teaching artists for movement ideas, information, discussion, and networking. We invite artists at all stages of their teaching. Rookies, veterans, people currently working or those looking for work, especially artists in schools. And community situations who consider teaching to be an integral part of their artistic work. The sessions are very inspiring and relevant for artistic inquiry as well as teaching.
